“Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.” -Psalm 119:105

Yesterday, I attended Greenpeace Volunteers’ Photography training. Gigi, our trainor taught us the basics of it: history, concepts of aperture, shutterspeed, ISO, depth-of-field, types of cameras, things to consider in taking photos, editing tips and some useful websites (including shops and magazines) we can use as resources. We also took photos to apply what we have learnt on that day.

She also emphasized the importance of reading our manuals so that we may fully explore other functions of our cameras. Honestly, I am using our company DSLR for one year in taking our event photos but I haven’t read its manual yet. So tomorrow, the first thing I will do is to borrow the Nikon D5000 manual from my boss and further study its basic operation.

Just like new photographers who need to read their camera manuals so that they may understand and work better; people must also consult their life manual- the Bible.

Today, You teaches us the wisdom of reading the Bible since it contains Your words that will guide us in living this life like Christ. Thank you for the revelation that your words will keep us perform our purpose- to fear God and keep his commandments (Ecclesiastes 12:13) and become better Christians.

All these I pray in Jesus’ name. Amen
